Almost all recording studios offer to record voice-overs and spoken word projects. However in my experience studios mostly used for recording bands and musicians and run by music engineers often seem unable to offer the right kind of atmosphere and attention to detail needed to make a voiceover, spoken word or audiobook project a success.
Over the years as a voice artist I've personally experienced the frustration of trying to record voice overs in a music studio with an engineer who'd rather be setting up drum mics or recording a guitar solo.
I've setup dVoiceBox to provide a voice studio that uses a professional recording set-up and offers a positive, supportive but informal atmosphere for voice artists. Check the technical page if you want all the equipment details.
The recording is overseen by me - so you get a sound engineer who has experience both as a voice artist behind the mic in the booth and as an engineer working on the mixing desk in the control room. My experience will give your project the best of both worlds. Plus you get the great acoustic quality that comes with using an Esmono industry standard booth and great mics.

Chris Radley provides the voiceover narration on Extraordinary Dogs - a 13 part TV Documentary series shown on Channel Five and now available on DVD.
Chris has been providing voice-overs since 1996 and is a specialist in advertising, corporate and elearning voice work. He has a client list that includes 02(Joggler), Barclays Commercial Bank, BA, Cisco (WebEx), Dorling Kindersley, Samsung, Canon UK, VW (Touareg) and Network Rail.
Chris has also provided voice overs for TV documentaries
(Discovery TV) and radio and TV commercials.
Chris also has a radio broadcasting background - both as producer and more than 20 years as a presenter. He is an award winning social action broadcaster and his radio presentation experience includes four years on national digital radio station Planet Rock ('99 - '03) plus (1996 - 2010) presentation on a number of commercial radio stations in the Midlands (Fox FM, Hereward FM, Beacon Radio, Mercia, Classic Gold Coventry and Northants 96).
In addition Chris is an experienced sound recording engineer for both voice and music projects either in the studio or in live environments. He is also a songwriter and composer and was a Semi-finalist in the UK Songwriting Competition 2010 and 2011.
